Exhibiting and Awards

I was twelve when I first considered exhibiting. Upon showing my latest drawing to my mum, she suggested I enter it in an exhibit. I was excited until I realised that all pieces had to be for sale. I couldn’t bear the thought of parting with my drawing.
I didn’t enter that year, however I made the switch from drawing purely for myself, to creating what I loved in the hope of making people happy.

From that moment I have displayed pieces at every Aspiring Art Awards and Wanaka Arts Society exhibit. I have also sold art in Queenstown and Dunedin shows, as well as solo exhibits at the Cardrona Distillery and the Lake Wanaka Centre.

Exhibiting is one of my favourite parts of being an artist, and I plan to display more nationally and internationally in the future.
